THANKS CLUTCH!

June 11, 2013 – This weekend, Shirley was featured as one of the guest poets at a Clutch program workshop (an arts program for young Filipino-Canadian women) at the Kapisanan Philippine Centre for Arts and Culture in Toronto. She sat down with workshop facilitator Len Cervantes and discussed the importance of writing and the meanings behind several of her poems. She also shared poetry from her upcoming collection.

A big thank you to all the Clutch participants, Len Cervantes, program coordinator Nicole Cajucom and fellow guest, and spoken word poet extraordinaire, Patrick de Belen, for their kind words and support.
