MERCY REVIEWED IN THE BILLINGS GAZETTE

September 19, 2020 — In the lead up to this year’s High Plains Book Awards, The Billings Gazette’s Charity Dewing reviewed Mercy as one of the finalists in the poetry category. Excerpts from Dewing’s review include:

Camia takes the overly complicated anguish of loss and distills it down to the most raw and vulnerable details.

Camia’s work delicately captures the moments of vulnerability during death – unable to stop it, accepting it, yet emotionally anesthetized to the full gravity of it.

The winners of the High Plains Book Awards will be announced this month in Billings, Montana. Good luck to all!
